David George Carey, 54, of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Monroe, NY, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 12, 2011 at home.
He was born November 13, 1956 in Cornwall, NY and was a hardworking roofer. He was a handy man and enjoyed helping friends. He had a great sense of humor and was loved by all.
David was preceded in death by his father, John Arthur Carey, Sr. Survivors include his son, Kyle; mother, Doris; brother, Jimmy, all of St. Petersburg and brother, John Carey, Jr. of Tennessee; two sisters, Edna (Carl) Knigge of St. Petersburg and Joy (Glenn) Meinecke of Seminole, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be at a later date. Memorials may be sent to 7337 46th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL 33709.

Though we had lost touch these past few years you always had a special place in my heart with you big heart and contagious laugh, I have always Loved you and always will..
