Wayne Dember Fischer, 52, of Tampa, FL passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in Bethpage, NY. He was "Gone Too Soon."
Wayne was a precious blessing to his parents, Daniel B. and Delores E. Dember. As a child he attended Copiague Elementary Junior High and High School. He attended L.A. Wilson Technological Center in the field of computers and earned an Associate Degree in the United States Army.
He was a beautiful, gifted, passionate man, devoted husband, father, grandfather and godfather. He was a “Jack of all trades”, Entertainer, DJ (he could sure turn out a crowd for a night of fun). He was an expert Mechanical Technician, talented Photographer, Handyman, Craftsman, Master carpenter and Roofer.
Wayne served his country for seven years in the United States Army in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Air Defense Brigade in Colorado, Texas and Darmstadt, Germany. He was a Pharmaceutical Technician, Customer Service Representative, Security Guard, Bus Driver, Salesman, Cook (he could prepare a delicious lasagna) and a Truck Driver for ten years. He was a “Master” in every field.
Wayne loved and enjoyed his life, assisting everyone in need. He never took advantage of people. He was a “giver” not a “taker”. He was definitely a people person. He was an adviser, mentor and counselor, even if you didn’t want to hear it. He was an avid news buff and always informing others about what he learned or discovered. He would say “Don’t buy that!” “Do the research!” “Don’t do that!” “Are you listening to me???”
Wayne loved his family. Wayne loved his wife to the core of his soul and acknowledged her as a priority in his life. Wayne knew her better than she knew herself. He was an extraordinary man full of energy and a zest for living. He could always brighten anyone’s day by the smallest, kind gesture. He could surely brighten up a room!
Wayne always put others before himself. He was reliable, trustworthy, a confidant and a protector. He was a strong man and a fighter. He will always be remembered fondly in our hearts forever. He will always be the cherished husband, son, brother, comforter, friend and adviser waiting for us to join him in heaven.

My prayers goes out to you V. and The Fischer family. It’s hard for me to think that our Wayne is gone forever, but I know that God doesn’t make mistakes. I truly believe that time heals a broken heart, and what don’t kill us will make us strong. So, I pray a special prayer for you V. to be strong and lean not into your own understanding. God has a purpose and plan for everything he does. Love you and remember you are not alone.
We are thankful for the time that we knew Wayne and will miss him very much, we met him thru our daughters and we became dear friends. He became our mechanic and helped us with chores that needed to be done around our home, He was also our grandson London’s Godfather. He is truly missed. Our prayers are with the Family and I pray that God will comfort you in this time of grief.
Viana,
I am truly sorry for your loss. I will always remember and cherish that moment in time that Wayne allowed me to inter into your home and I got to view the TRUE Wayne Fischer. I was utterly amazed by his music collection and love of life. Please accept my sincere condolences from me and all of us at Lake Ellen Walk HOA.
