We thought very highly of Doyle. He was always a joy to visit with and had interesting stories to share. We will miss him and his happy personality, but we know that he has gone to a much better place. We pray God’s blessings on the family as they go through this very difficult time.

Doyle was a helpful friendly person and worked as a supervisor on the Installation side of the house. I was with the Cable department and we often had to work together to solve service problems. We shall miss you Doyle and will keep you and your family in our prayers.

Doyle & Lusy have been friends of ours thru the job at GTE and the Telephone Pioneers. Doyle loved to hunt the Ocala Nation Forest I’ve seen him there. He and Lucy attended most of the get-togethers at Stacey’s, in Largo, with the Pioneers. Doyle was the nicest man you would ever want to meet. He will be missed by everyone.

Life is a gift. Sounds like your Dad lived his with intent and shared it with a beautiful family. In his memory, may we be inspired to live ours as a gift, cherishing every day. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
My thoughts are with Lucy and family. I treasure the time I worked with Doyle in Largo. He was always a true gentleman but not above playing jokes and helping the rest of us enjoy work. He appreciated his family more than anything. He will be missed.

Uncle Doyle, I miss your voice, the sound of your chucklinglaughter. I miss calling and having you answer the phone and we’d just chat away. I miss your advice on things through the years. I miss seeing you and Aunt Lucille pulling up at moms with the station wagon full of goodies for the cows. Those minutes together are cherished. You always made my day brighter. I think of you everyday and will hold all the fond memories close to my heart. Your Niece, Carroll Anne DeGuenther-Roothenberg
I just read about Doyle passing away this week. I am so sorry to read the article. I worked for Doyle when I started at GTE in 1971. Doyle made working at GTE fun and it never seemed like a job. More like a hobby. It was part of the best days working at GTE.
I miss you tons Uncle Doyle; you are forever in my thoughts, prayers and deeply imbedded memories in my heart. My love forever- Carroll Anne DeGuenther-Rothenberg xoxo
