I am Urmas Meri’s brother-in-law. My sister Maryann has shared news of past visits with Taavi and his family. Please accept my wishes
that your sorrow will not be long and will be soon replaced by happy memories.
He was a true witness to the power of Jesus Christ and a spirit filled life. He had a tough road the last couple of years but his faith was so strong. What a wonderful example of Christian faith he has left to his family and friends. Even tho we know where you are Taavi and we are rejoicing for you, you will be greatly
missed! Our prayers are with you Debbie Lynn.
Debbie,
You both have been in our thoughts and prayers.
May our Lord comfort you and strengthen you during this time. may you find peace in knowing he is finally healed and at home, and now he will wait for the day when you can once again be together. He will live on in the wonderful memories that you and others share of him. Please call us if we can do anything to help, we’re just across the fence or a phone call away.
Kallis Taavi, puhka nuud rahus….
Dear Debbie,
You and Tavvi have been in our thoughts and prayers since we first knew of Tavvi’s cancer.
We will treasure the memories of the times we were able to spend together at the Old Cape Cod.
Tavvi was a special guy, as I don’t need to tell you. You were the fortunate one to have been able to spend part of your life with such a great guy.
He will stay in our thoughts and know that he is with the Lord and can put in a good word for us.
All our love,
Dave and June

Another boy scout from the Estonian House days of the 1960s salutes a fallen friend. Condolences to the family.
I had a note about Taavi’s upcoming birthday and then decided to google him. I’m so sorry I didn’t know of his passing last year. We were all at Newtown High in Elmhurst, NY, he played a great trombone, I played trumpet along with many others who got close with our love of music. I still play trumpet and teach piano, luckily a gentleman from the Boy Scouts here in Irving to play for the annual freedom celebration in Feb. The Boy Scout man knew Taavi’s parents and was glad I could play the lovely music. I wish he’d had more time on this earth to reconnect again. Sadly too late but always a great memory for my family. May he rest in peace and that his brother Urmas who I knew from the Boys Gym team too. Keep in touch if ypu like, just know we all thought a lot of him.
Regards, Anita Tipping-Wheeler, ’64 Newtown.
