Athel L. Justice-79-US Navy Korean War Veteran, died at his residence in St Cloud, Fl on January 25, 2012 with his family at his bedside and under the direction of Cornerstone Hospice.
His service are 2:30 PM, Tuesday, January 30, 2012 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Fl 33513 with full military honors by the Marion County Military Honor Guard.
A native of Russell, KY and a local resident since 1983, when he moved here from Hope, Rhode Island, Athel was a retired telephone repairman with New England Telephone and he was of the Episcopal faith and a member of the Masonic Lodge (F&AM). He served in the US Navy during the Korean War and was awarded a National Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal, China Service Medal, Korean War Service Medal and a United Nations Service Medal. He served on the USS Small (DDR 838).
Athel is survived by his wife, Jean Justice of St Cloud, Fl; his sons: Mike Justice and Bill Justice both of Kissimmee, Fl; a brother, Jack Justice and his wife, Nancy of Flatwoods, KY and two grandchildren.
