1LT Gordon Keith George, US Army Ret., 86, of New Port Richey, FL, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at HPH Hospice Care Center, New Port Richey.
Born in Portland, OR, Gordon moved here from Severn, MD in 1982 where he retired as a cryptologist and analyst for the NSA. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII and a US Army officer of Korea and the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion and a Gold Circle member of the VFW. He was also an active member of Hacienda Village. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Marie; son, Robert K. of Holiday, FL; daughter, Antonia Taylor of Davidsonville, MD; three grandchildren, Jennifer and Samuel Taylor, and Melissa Murphy; and great grandson, Chris Murphy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the HPH Hospice Foundation, 12107 Majestic Blvd., Hudson, FL 34667-2455.

We are so proud and lucky to have Gordon as a friend, neighbor and one of the nicest people we have ever met. His humor, kindness and love for his wife, family and his country was the absolute best. To Marie and family….I am so very sorry to hear of Gordon’s passing…you will miss him very much…when we went on that cruise together, John and I really found out what a fun loving couple you were…Gordon also shared the same birthdate as John..I will always remember him with love.
