Jackie “Jack” E. Raie, US Navy-Vietnam War Veteran, 63, of Lutz, FL, passed away on Tues., May 22, 2012 at James Haley Veterans Hospital, Tampa.
The family will receive friends at Grace Family Church, 5101 Van Dyke Road, Lutz, FL on Tuesday evening, May 29, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services is 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Grace Family Church with Pastor Dee. Graveside services will follow with full military honors at 1:00 PM at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Tampa, FL with the Pinellas County Veterans Council, to officiate.
A native of Mango, FL and a lifelong resident of the area, Jack graduated from Hillsborough High School and attended Miami Bible College. He was a member of Grace Family Church and worked as an Account Manager for Cocoa Cola. He served in the US Navy in the Brown Water's of Vietnam. He loved crafts and bible study.
Preceded in death by his parents and a son, Scott in 1997, he is survived by his loving family: a wife of 41 years, Iris of Lutz, FL; a son, Michael Raie of Lutz, FL; a half brother, Wayne Brundage; three half sisters; Shirley Martin, Joyce Savage and Jeanie Clark. He dearly loved his Yorkie service dog, Picasso, who stayed by his bedside.
