Louis V. Hull, 88, of Tampa, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System in Bay Pines, FL
Beloved father, grandfather and friend. He was born in Newark, NJ and served with Patton’s Third Army in the European Theater during WW II . He was recalled to the Air Force during the Korean Conflict and continued in the Air Force Reserve until his retirement in 1973. He credits the GI Bill for his graduation from Southern Methodist University as a Geologist with a Master’s Degree.
After working for several different oil companies he began his own business, LVHULL Explorations Inc., and traveled throughout the Ark-La-Tex area as well as overseas. He was a resident of Texas, Louisiana, Maine and most recently Florida.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved sister, Georgiana Henrietta Jay, and his loving wife of 53 years, Carolyn Conway Hull.
He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Hull Renfroe and husband, Rusty, of Memphis, TN; son, Dr. John Harrington Hull and wife, Susan, of Seminole, FL; daughter, Eleesa Hull Shaw of Carrollton, TX; and grandchildren, Kara, Emily, Elijah and Jacob (FL), and Renee and Lauren (TX).
Burial will take place at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell on May 25, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the scholarship funds at Military Officers Association of America or Southern Methodist University.
The family is most thankful for the exceptional care he received over the last decade from his caregiver, Tammy Cummings and the Bay Pines VA.

Louis will be missed by everyone. I am glad I got to spend some time with him recently at the farm. My love and heart is with you all especially you John in this time of reflection
