A more honorable and kinder two-legged never walked the Earth Mother. Stoney was a rare warrior. He was agayak bagwana (true by heart) – what my people call a man of ’true good heart’. I shall miss him, as will many, many others. But the Creator has new and excellent company, now, eh – He does!
Gene and I grew up together. We have been close friends for 83 yrs. We played together we rode bikes together we doubled dated as teenagers. We never lost touch with other. He was my friend and we shared a closeness that few people have…I will miss him more than any words could tell. I loved him with my whole heart.
I will greatly miss my dear Great Uncle Gene. I will never forget our visits and his enthusiasm for life. I’m so sorry my husband and son did not get to meet him. His positive outlook on life was an inspiration to all who knew him I’m sure. My condolences and love to his family, especially Scott and Brenda. The pride Uncle Gene had for his family was evident to all who knew him. Lori,Kevin and Danny Burns (Southa’s granddaughter)
