Dad you will be missed but you are in a place that you have minister about for years.
As a child i grew up in Faith for Miracles, Pastor Brookes was an inspiration to me. Giving me my first job as teen working the Television Cameras, and sound board. Fun sleep overs at his House in the Boston Edison district of Detroit he will be greatly missed. God bless your soul pastor I LOVE YOU!!!
I was a baby Christian when I met Pastor Brookes. I joined Faith For Miracles and grew in the knowledge of God. I will always remember how much I learned about God under the leadership of Pastor Brookes.
I worked for rev. BROOKS in 1979-1980 as a camera man for faith for miracles and loved that ministry. I haven’t seen a more anointed ministry since!

I visited your church back in the early 1980s. I heard your telecast the night before and I brought in a dollar bill collection that I was coveting as an offering. You gave me a Word that I had a daughter who had a heart murmur and when you laid your hand on my chest and proclaimed that she would be healed. Later my wife told me one of our daughters that age had been diagnosed with that heart condition at her last doctor visit. Later she was examined again only to find she no longer had any heart problems. She is now 38 yrs old and still no problems. (ps I heard son-in-law Larry Stevens has passed away and just trying to find out anything I can on that)
Love, David Krafft
I’m Praying Richard has been forgiven. You cannot be in Business with someone and hide the true you. I never question a Man’s faith. I judge their actions. Nine years with this man.
A question I asked many close to him was “You know Richard is not right. Why do you still follow him? The answer on all occasions was “We know. But God uses his mouth anyway”
R.I.P. Brookes!
I learned so much from working with Richard & Cleta! I too asked “Why Lord?” Why did God use them, when we could see such imperfections. The answer I received: They are the only ones willing! And God really loves his people, and wants to bless them in ways that couldn’t happen inside most churches. No excuses, just trying to make sense of what we experienced. I sang Cleta’s song tonight, very spontaneous when someone started playing it on the piano. I would never sing it alone, I was imitating her, and it truly ministered straight into someones soul. How i wish we had more documentation of the broadcasts and stories online. Now it is all lost. Except in the invisible Kingdom of heaven and also in our lives. Anyone connected to FFM, feel free to contact me.
JUST LEARNED OF Reverend Richard Brooks passing;i remember the “Faith For Miracles” tv broadcast -twice while watching, personal circumstances would occur in my life, once in 1980 and agsin in 1982 as seems God would intervene in such instances! Too much for detail yet it was as if God was presently interacting and Richard or Cleta never knew anything about it except what they were teaching would hit home to my heart as the Holy Spirit reach out! And once Cleta personly prayed for me (1981) at a convention where the Rev Jack Van Impe was preaching and God answered prayers miraculously forever in my life ,,,May God bless Richards sweet soul ,,, Vic Lutes
I was Richard’s web designer on his various web sites. I was just thinking about him today and how I miss his cheerful attitude and entrepreneurial spirit. I miss you old friend.
I recall in February, 1981, Rev Richard & Cleta Brooks were at a Jack Van Impe event at a Southfield, Michigan Hotel convention center (Detroit area) as i ask Cleta to pray over me directly after the event as we were all leaving, while putting our coats and jackets on; i prayed for healing and direction as by faith God answered prayers as that is what God did as does; Two years later, one of the television broadcasts were on as it was as if God spiritually spoke to them as reaching out into the large audiance as to say the prayers at that at the time as the Holy Spirit prevailed were on my personal behalf of a situation i was going through at the time! Praise the Lord as thank God for their years of ministry My prayers that there will be more wonderful people who are genuine as Richard and Cleta Brooke Amen Rest in glorious peace in Heaven Victor
