Barbara Ann Marcell Tedesco
March 4, 1931 – January 6, 2013
Barbara Ann Tedesco, 81, passed on January 6, 2013. She was born in Newton, MA and was married to her sweetheart, Lt. Col. Wm. J Tedesco, for 63 years. She is survived by their children, Debra Tedesco, David Tedesco, Diane Tedesco and six grandchildren & three great grandchildren.
The good Lord created a model military wife, Barbara, and she was always there in full and adoring support for her husband. She understood why he was called to duty and often lovingly waved goodbye from a runway, with a tear of strength in her eye; waiting desirously and unwearyingly for his safe return. In a moment's notice she could be the perfect hostess for 4 or 40; handle any emergency without a manual; was able to carry on cheerfully even if she was pregnant or had the flu; and was willing to move to a new location 17 times in 20 years. She was an ourstanding avid duplicate bridge player and could make anything on her sewing machine.
She lovingly cared for their children and always kept the home fire burning. Her message to all her family and friends is, "Though the days are long, Twilight sings a song, of a happiness that used to be. Soon my eyes will close, soon I'll find repose. And in dreams, you're always near me."
Dear Family of Mrs. Tedesco; We were shocked and saddened by her passing, now she is with her dear husband, once again. May you find comfort knowing that she did not suffer.
Our deepest sympathy and thoughts …..
Love, Lydia & Terry Boiles
Thank you for being such an amazing part of my life. I appreciate how great of a person and grandmother you were. I am so blessed to have had time with you recently and to have been able to give you big hugs and share tears full of love and sadness. There have been many times over the past couple of weeks that I want to pick up the phone to say Hi and to hear your and popop’s voices. I miss you two so much everyday but when I get sad, I just hope and pray you are together watching down on me sending kisses. I want to thank you and Popop for being the best grandparents anyone could ever ask for. I love you both very much.
Be good up there, xoxo
