Grover Cleveland Servis, Jr., 92, of Largo, passed away on Saturday, January, 12, 2013, at the Largo Rehab & Spa. He was born in Princeton, NJ, and moved to the area in 1983 from Princeton Junction, New Jersey.
He served his country in the US Army during World War II. During his lifetime, he was a painter and employed by the West Windsor Township School System. He was a quiet man of few words; however, when he spoke, you stopped to listen to what was being said. He loved older cars and Bingo. He deeply loved his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Ida. He is survived by his wife, Sophie; sons, John of Princeton Junction, NJ, and Grover III of Largo; daughter, Barbara Ferrara of Largo; a brother; a sister; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A Military Honors service will be held at Florida National Cemetery on Thursday, January 17, 2013, at 11:30AM.
