Veterans Funeral Care William Figueroa

William Figueroa, of Valrico, FL passed away on March 7, 2013 at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, Tampa. He was born on March 30, 1949 in Manhattan, New York to the late Miguel Figueroa and Tomasa Seda Vazquez.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen L. Soto-Figueroa and their two sons, William Jr. and David.

William graduated from Boys High School in Brooklyn, New York. He enlisted in the military and became a light vehicle mechanic in the United States Army. He subsequently became a tank system mechanic. His military service includes 13 years active service and 9 1/2 years inactive service. His foreign service included Vietnam, Germany and The First Gulf War. He was Honorably Discharged as a Sergeant First Class.

He also leaves behind to cherish his memories his brothers Michael, Paul, Wilfred (his twin), and Jose; and his sisters Carmen, Elisa, Josephine and Rosie.

Graveside services with full military honors will be presented by American Legion Post 273 at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Boulevard, Bay Pines 33744.
