Fishing for snook was the “Call of the Wild” for Jerome. We caught big ones at the docks in Boca Grande. A friend for over sixty-four years. We will miss our Meish brother.
Jerome brought so many happy moments in our life and left us with a treasure trove of memories. We will miss him. Rest in peace my friend.
I have known Jerome through elementary, junior and senior
high school. I have fond memories of fishing with him at his
Boca Grande place. Jerome has been a true friend through-
out the years. We will miss him.

Jerome was an honest man with a tender heart. We shared a disdain for government and a love of fishing. Of the untold number of days I’ve spent on the water, the most trout I ever caught in a day was with Jerome when we boated 240 keepers. Those were the good old days. Saint Jerome, as I enjoyed calling him, will be fondly remembered.
Jerome (Humbe) We all will miss you deeply, a great friend that would do any thing to help you when you needed help. BJ and jerome would always go to the fish house and eat together whenever we were intown. Jerome was a special PERSON!!!
Jerome was a kind and friendly man and was liked by all. I don’t ever remember hearing one negative word concerning his character. He’ll be sorely missed but not forgotten.
Jerome and I became best of buddies at age 10 and remained so the rest of our lives!talk about fishing!!! Jerome and my parents shared a special bond of love too. We all cherish our many years of beautiful memories.
J was the best! witty, smart, sarcastic, funny, clever, good looking, bad acting!, GREAT fisherman, great boozer, honest, generous with his friends and I am sure he is OK in the realm of heaven right now. I will never forget the Boca Grande days especially fishing for snook and feeding the porpoise that waited for our arrival! Goodnight, St. Jerome!
We have many wonderful memories of Jerome,as we have known him almost all our lives. He will be missed.God bless his memory.
