Evelyn Jackson, 92, died on November 17, 2013.
She was born on April 17, 1921, in Bamberg, SC, to Julian and Ruth Richardson. Her family moved to the Lakeland, FL area when she was a baby. She attended Southeastern College where she met her future husband, James Jackson, also a student at Southeastern. They enjoyed a successful ministry career together, and retired in 1991 as the Pastors of Goulds Assembly of God in South Miami.
They moved to Clearwater and have been active members of First Assembly of God. She is survived by her husband, Rev. James Jackson; a son, Rodney Jackson; a daughter, Sherye Bolin and husband, Durell; 3 grandchildren, Tommy Bolin, Matthew Bolin and Veronica Jackson; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Monday, November 25 at 11:00 am at Clearwater First Assembly of God, 1739 So. Martin Luther King Avenue, Clearwater 33761. Family will receive friends starting at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater.
