Donald Richard “Dick” Kent, 84, of Safety Harbor, FL, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013, at the Suncoast Hospice, North Pinellas Care Center, PalmHarbor, FL. He was born in Bucyrus, OH, on September 13, 1929 and moved to Safety Harbor in 1986.
He served his country in the United States Navy during World II and was stationed overseas on Guam. He lived for 27 years in Duluth, MN, working in the clothing manufacturing industry as a Vice President & Sales Manager for North Shore Manufacturing Company. He also owned and operated Rainducker, Inc in Duluth. After moving to Safety Harbor, he worked for Sutherland Crossing Condominiums Association.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; sons, Scott (Judy) of St. Louis, MO, Joseph (Harriet) of Duluth, MN, and Stephen of Minneapolis, MN; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Graveside service with honors will be presented at 1:30 PM on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Boulevard, Bay Pines, FL.
