John David O’Neil, 69, of Dade City, FL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at HPH Hospice Care Center in Dade City.
Born in Wyandotte, MI, he moved here from Detroit in 1980. He worked as a transporter for the Pasco Sheriff’s Office and he was a carpenter. John was a US Army veteran of Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart. He served 12 years and earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a member of the VFW Post 4283, Dade City and VFW Post 2473 Old Fort Harrison Post, Clearwater, FL. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a fan of all Detroit sports.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Patricia; daughter, Christina (Jeffrey) Herman of Clearwater, FL; two sons, James (Cindy) Sensini of Inverness, FL and Daniel (Mary) Sensini of McColm Township, MI; sister, Judy Deversery of Lincoln Park, MI; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and niece, Terry Cross.
Graveside services with full military honors will be presented at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513.
Dad, I don’t know what were gonna do without you…you were the life of the party…lol..remember this your in gods hands now and I hope you,grandpa frank,and dick have a great time up there…..love yous and miss you very much…..
