Francois Louis Bootier, 85, of Seminole, died December 29, 2014. He grew up in West Warwick, Rhode Island, the oldest of seven children. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Quartermaster Corps during the Korean War. He lived variously in Virginia, Puerto Rico and Indiana before moving to Florida in 1973 with his young children after the death of his first wife, Rosemary.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Betty Bootier; his siblings Evelyn Prytula, Lois Picard, Dede McMahon and Earl Bootier; his children David Bootier and Joan Bootier, his step-children Denise Ballentine, Steve Wenstrom and Terri Broadbent; 6 step-grandchildren and 1 step great-grandchild.
A memorial service with military honors will be held on January 9, 2015 at 3PM at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Boulevard, St Petersburg, FL 33708.
In lieu of flowers, the family recommends donations to Pinellas Hope.
