Barvenik, Margaret Ard, beloved widow of William Barvenik of Stratford, CT, died peacefully on December 21, 2014, at Brookside Hospice in Palm Harbor, FL at the age of 86.
Survivors include her son William Ard Barvenik and his wife Doreen, her daughter Gail Barvenik Liguori and her husband Jerry, her sisters Doris Palmer and Harriet Dropp, and her cherished grandchildren Sarah Barvenik, Debbie Paczkowski and her husband Dave, Laura Davis and her husband Colin, Eric Liguori, Christopher Liguori and his wife Leah, Amy Liguori, and Jeffrey Liguori, along with so many beloved nieces and nephews.
Margaret was born on May 6, 1928 in Bridgeport, CT to Harry & Leah Boyd Ard. She married William, her one true love, on July 26, 1952. She raised her family in Connecticut and moved to Florida in the early 1990’s after the passing of her husband. Her family remembers her as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, friend, caregiver, and confidant.
A private memorial will be held at a later date at Bay Pines National Cemetery, St. Petersburg, FL, where she will interred with her husband William. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent in her name to FreshStart for Kids, a charity Margaret found so dear to her heart.
