Paul Richard Watts, Jr., 84, of Bradenton, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at home under the care of Tidewell Hospice.
Born in Columbus, OH, he moved her from Victor, NY in 1998. He retired as a horse trainer form the Finger Lakes RaceTrack in Farmington, NY. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was Methodist and a member of the F&A Masons and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Katie; two sons: Samuel of Farmington, NY and Jason of Martinsburg, WV; three daughters: Laura Kim Astell of Medford, OR, Virginia Lee of Norwood, NY, and Annette Cleveland of Rushville, NY; a sister, Karen Behm of Blacklick, OH; 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Graveside services with military honors will be presented at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
