SCPO Richard K. Judd, USN Ret., 90, of Pinellas Park, FL passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015.
Born in Saginaw, MI, he moved here from Midland, MI in 1989. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII and Korea, retiring after 21 years. He served as a Senior Air Traffic Controller and an Instructor. He was a sports fan and an avid golfer. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Merle and his sister, Alice Steiner. Survivors include his son, Rick (Karilyn) Judd, Jr. of Blairsville, GA; daughter, Shery Judd (and partner, Deb Sherrod) of Harrison, MI; two grandchildren, Sherilyn (Scott) Craig and Jeremy Judd; and six great grandchildren.
A gathering of friends and family will be held 11 am on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the Golden Gate Mobile Home Park Clubhouse, 8201 40th Street North, Pinellas Park, 33781. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
My deepest sympathy to the family of Dick. We shared a lot of golf games in the past.
