Robert Cecil Sheffield, 66, of St Petersburg, Florida funeral service is 11:30 AM, Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513 with the Veterans of Foreign War Post 10209 and the US Army Funeral Honors Team providing full military honors. Please arrive between 11:00 AM and the time of the service at the cemetery.
A native of Kingsport, Tennessee and a local resident, Robert was a retired draftsman/CAD system operator in the food service industry; an avid musician that played the guitar and he was of the Baptist Faith. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War Era as a radio operator and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
Preceded in death by his parents, Corbett and Alma (Sellers) Sheffield, Robert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rhea Sheffield of St Petersburg; two daughters, Robin Rogers of St Petersburg, Florida and Jennifer Sheffield-Wingate and her husband, Barrett of Savannah, Georgia; three grandchildren, Crystal Lynn Sheffield; James Robert Rogers, Jr. and Mallory Coulter and one great grandchild, Carter Wilkins.
