Charles R. Carson, 80, of St. Petersburg, FL passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Mid Pinellas Care Center in Pinellas Park, FL under the care of Suncoast Hospice.
Born in Wayne County, WV, he moved here from Columbus, OH in 2000. He retired from the steel industry at Timken Ball Bearings in Columbus after more than 25 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and earned the rank of Private First Class. He was a member of the AMVETS and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Survivors include his wife, Aretta; two sons, Rusty and Jeff, both of Huntington, WV; two brothers, James F. “Jim” of St. Petersburg and Randy of Richmond, VA; and granddaughter, Crystal Carson.
A graveside service will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Cyrus Cemetery, 1444 Middle Fork Wilson Creek Road, Wayne, WV 25570-5971.
Even though haven’t been around uncle Charles since I grew up. I do remember spending summers with them. Uncle Charles you’ll be missed and loved by many.
