Michael W. Seim


Michael Walter Seim, S/MSGT- United States Air Force – Vietnam and Gulf War Veteran died at his residence on August 17, 2015.

S/MSGT Seim funeral is 1:00 PM, Friday, September 4, 2015 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513 with full military honors by the United States Air Force Honor Guard from Mac Dill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida.

A native of Bremerton, Washington, he was born to Christopher and Donna (Sandqusit) Seim on March 3, 1946. S/MSGT Seim was a member of the Pentecostal faith and a local resident of Seffner since 2014, when he moved here from Winter Haven, Florida. He retired from Charleston Air Force Base, Carolina on August 31, 1991.

During his military career, he was awarded Air Transportation Superintendant and was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal; Joint Service Commendation Medal; Air Force Commendation Medal with Device; Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 6 devices; Small Arms Expert Marksmanship; NCO Pr0fessional Military Education Graduate Ribbon; Air Force Longevity Service Medal with 4 Devices; United States Air Force Senior NCO Academy; the NCO Academy; Supervisory Development Course; National Defense Service Medal; Air Force Overseas Ribbon (Long Term) with 2 devices; Air Force Training Ribbon and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with 1 Device.

He is survived by his loving family: his wife, Brenda (Clawson Seim of Seffner, Florida; sons; Christopher Seim and his wife, Stacey of Winter Haven, Florida and Raleigh Seim of The Island of Guam; daughters; Shannon Anderson of Seffner, Florida; Heather Hall of Omaha, Nebraska and Christina Carlyle of Great Falls, Montana; two brothers; Rick Seim and his wife Mary Ann of Arizona and Roy Desoto of Las Vegas, Nevada; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
