My sincere condolences and prayers for Mel and all of Letty’s beautiful family. Letty was a special beacon of light to all who knew her and to everyone she met. I had the great honor of being in a special Cursillo friendshio group with Letty and recall the first day of our volunteer action as a group at St. Vincent de Paul. Letty didn’t let her fear on that first day get in the way of service to the poor. I can still hear her laughter through the tears – her joy was infectious! Letty always spoke of her family with so much love and worked tirelessly for her children to be able to join her in America. It’s rare to meet a woman of Letty’s character today. Thank you Letty for being such a great friend. We will miss you but remember you always with deepest gratitude and love. De Colores my dear sister in Christ. And please pray for all of your family to help them in their time of sorrow. I know you must have a very special place in Heaven.

Letty was one of the kindest human beings I have ever met. She was elegant, soft-spoken, compassionate, knowledgeable, a wonderful conversationalist, and an awesome cook! She adored her wonderful husband and the two of them lived many, many happy years together. Letty was truly one of the sweetest people anyone could have had the honor of meeting. You’re an angel now Letty who is soaring high with all of God’s Heavenly Hosts! I know you will continue to be a Guardian Angel to so many of us and your presence will always be with us! Rest dear Letty in that spiritual place where there is no pain and no sorrow, only peace and happiness, and spread your angelic wings in the heavens as you bless us and watch over all those people you love!
We love you!
