To the Osti Family—Les was a great employee who served the citizens of Pinellas County with pride and efficiency. Each time I visited the Clearwater Office and spoke to Les, he was always an upbeat and happy person who loved serving the public. He will be missed by me as well as his many co-workers. May you find some comfort knowing that many of us are thinking and praying for you.
There is no greater love for their child than a mother and father, please accept my heart felt condolences in your time of grief.

Les was the sweetest person and I am lucky to have had the privilege to work with him. He will be missed. Sending comforting prayers for his family.
My condolences go out to the entire Osti Family. Les was an all around great guy and co-worker. I still remember the day that Les interviewed for the job with The Tax Collector’s Office. After Les telling us about his interests with Customer Service and his work at the library I knew I had the right guy. Les never disappointed us in any way. His customer service was excellent and he was helpful to everyone. I considered him a friend. He had so many nice things to say about his mother and his pets and you could see he loved them very much. Also, he loved his books, Star Wars and that Dodge Challenger. He made the best chocolate chip cookies ever. Les, Rest In Peace. You will be missed by your many friends.

May you Rest In Peace Les. I just recently found out that you were sick and very upset and saddened. I log onto Facebook just now and see this , which makes me even more upset. You were like a brother to me when I was growing up, you definitely were like part of the family to all of us Carbonaro’s. You were there for me when my brother passed away in 1995 and always did your best to cheer me up at the time and I’ll never forget it. Another good man gone off this Earth only to become another angel in Heaven. May the force be with your on your journey into the unknown. (Cheesy, I know but… for his love of Star Wars)
My prayers are with your family during this extremely tough time. At least there’s no more suffering or pain. RIP Les.
Les came into our lives and left an impression on our hearts. He was a good friend to all, the sweetest person I ever met, and a gentle soul. He will be missed by all that knew him. May God comfort his family and friends and bring them peace at this difficult time.

“Are you more or less?” is a phrase I heard more than a couple of times. Well Les was definitely more. In his good natured way he would chuckle along with each person every time. Les was more tolerant, unselfish, polite and always ready to help (he never whined) than most people. He will be missed very much by ALL who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with the Osti family, especially his Mother. Please accept my sincere sympathy.
To the Osti family, words cannot express what I felt when I heard this sad news. I worked with Les for years and he was such a great person to work with, the nicest person I have ever met. His sweet soul too soon left us.
My heartfelt sympathy to Les’s Mom and family. Because of Les waiting on me at the tax collectors office, I had the desire to work there and that dream came true. I enjoyed working with Les for 8 years and so sad to hear he lost the battle of cancer. He had a great sense of humor, always positive and friendly. He will be missed by everyone. I thank him for his service to his country. Les, I will see you in heaven.
Les was always such a respectful, sweet, caring soul. I will genuinely miss his kindness, and I feel honored to have had the pleasure of knowing him. Your family is in my prayers. He will be missed. Rest in peace my friend.
What can I say about Lester that hasn’t already been said? He was a generous, kind hearted man with a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by every one who knew him. May God be with you all at this time of loss.
I got to have Lester in my life for one whole year while our parents were stationed in New York. We quickly became best friends…then I had to move. Always remember watching movies with you and listening to music…and you teaching me what the card game 52 pickup actually consisted of. Strange how 30 years later, I remember that one year of friendship back in the late 1980’s. Was crushed when I found out you passed when trying to look you up.
