So sorry for your loss Cas and know Payne will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Your neighbor, Priscilla Drenberg
I met Payne many years ago thru the antique business. She was such a lovely person, a true Southern Belle and with the most beautiful Southern accent. I always remember when she spoke of her husband, Casimir, her accent curled around his name in the softest way and I knew he must be a wonderful man she loved very much. It was always a joy to see her come in and listen to her. I haven’t seen her in over 30 years tho when I left the business . You have my most sincerest condolences in the loss of this sweet lady.
Dear Cass and Family,
We were so saddened to get the announcement of the passing of Payne. You both have been so special to our family and we have missed you so since moving from the Lamb house next door to you. I saw Taylor just before Christmas and she told me that Payne had taken a turn for the worse and had been admitted to the hospital. We have treasured and kept the art based Christmas cards that you both sent every year to us. We have moved several times since the Lamb house and have never found such wonderful neighbors ever again. We will keep both you and your family in our prayers as you move forward without your dear Payne. Our deepest sympathy in your loss.

(Try #2) You are so beautiful. I remember vacations together when I was growing up. I remember thinking you were my “fairy” godmother because you made me feel so special. I wish that my life had not gotten so crazy that I didn’t spend time with you and Uncle Charlie. Thank you and Uncle Charlie for sharing your artistic life with me each Christmas. Thank you for loving me.
Love always,
Jerrilon
