Norberto “Rafael” Aponte, 72, of Clearwater, FL passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016.
Born in Ciales, Puerto Rico he moved here in 1989. Rafael retired as a welder and was known as a Handyman, always repairing, fixing and installing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing games and collecting Kangol caps.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Carmen; four daughters: Maria “Mary” Soto, Sol Angeline “Angie” Feliciano, Sandra Aponte and Marilyn “Lily” Aponte; two brothers, Isreal and Pablo; two sister, Rosie Aponte and Aramia Aponte; 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A gathering of friends and family will be at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Primera Iglesia Metodista Unida Hispana, 15703 61st Street North, Clearwater, FL 33760 with Pastor Armando Reyes and Pastor Daniel Vizcaino. Services will begin at 1:00 PM and interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Kenneth City.
