Larry E. Ostrander, L/CPL-USMC- 74 of Clearwater, Florida passed away February 27, 2016. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM, March 25, 2016 at the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513 with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10209 and the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard, officiating.
A native of Almont, MI and a local resident since 1995, when he moved here from Pontiac, MI, he was a retired engine inspector for General Motors-Pontiac Division. He attended Christian Pathways Community Church and was a Vietnam War Veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps. Larry was a member of Veteran of Foreign War Post 6827 and during his military career, he was awarded a “Purple Heart”.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Larry. Survivors include by his loving wife, Cheryl Ostrander of Clearwater, Florida; a daughter, Linda Cardenas of Clearwater, Florida; a brother, James Ostrander of Grand Rapids, MI and a granddaughter.
