Joseph James Smarowsky

Joseph Smarowsky Pinellas Park Florida 192x300

Joseph James Smarowsky was born on May 6, 1979 in St. Petersburg, Florida. He passed away on March 24, 2016 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida. Joe was survived by his parents Anna and Tom Rogers of Pinellas Park, Florida and Joseph Smarowsky Sr of Pennsylvania; brothers Stephen Smarowsky and Kevin Rogers; sisters Nicole Smarowsky Parks and Aili Rogers; grandparents Antoinette and Alphonse Poochia; nine nieces and nephews and many family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Due to some health issues that hindered him during his last few years Joseph was not able to attend Indian Rock Baptist Church, where his parents are members, but faithfully participated in worship online.

Joe loved God, his big family, custom knives, guns, music and cooking for his family.  He considered cooking a labor of love for others. Joe poured his heart and soul into helping others.  He was known to all as being big hearted, intelligent, funny, helpful, and extremely loyal.  He had the ability to make others laugh even in the most stressful situations. Joe was a custom knife enthusiast and enjoyed crafting items for others with Paracord.  Joe was courageous and fought a strong battle against many medical challenges.  He was inspiring to others and always remained positive in difficult situations.

A church service to celebrate the life of Joseph Smarowsky will take place on April 3, 2016 at Indian Rocks Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with a visitation at 1:00 pm. Pastor Scott Harris will be officiating over his services.

Friends and family are invited to share a memory and sign his guestbook below.
