Robert S. Borynski, 68, of Riverview, Florida passed away March 24, 2016. Robert was also known as Robbie, Bob, Bobbie, And Buffalo Bob.
Robert was born September 27, 1947 in Buffalo, New York, a son of the late Stanley Borynski and Martha Kazmierczak Borynski.
He was retired from United States Army with high honors. He was a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War and served in Afghanistan and Bosnia. He was a Maverick and was known as Rebel 36 during Vietnam. Robert received multiple purple hearts, 14 combat air medals, 2 bronze stars, a silver star, and a medal of valor. He enjoyed cooking, NASCAR, football, and was a Buffalo Bills football fan. He was an artist and loved music. His family remembers him as a loving husband, father,and brother. He was a strong spirited and courageous man. He was a hero.
Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son: Brian Borynski, and 2 sisters: Arlene Borynski and Delphine Kujawa.
Survivors include his wife: Dawn Russo of Riverview, Florida, 2 sons: Michael and Daniel Russo, both of Riverview, one daughter: Danielle Bornyski of Brandon, Florida, 3 grandchildren: Hanna, Skylar, and Jade. 2 sisters: Betty Glovins of Buffalo, New York and Carol Latona of Sun City, Florida , Nieces: Carlene, Peggy, Kelly, Jody, and nephews: Greg, Frankie, and Daryl , and special friends: Cole and Lori Flynn and their son, Conner, of Cape Coral, Florida, who always loved him through thick and thin.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM , Monday, April 11, 2016, at The Crossings Church, 10130 Tuscany Ridge Road, Tampa, Florida 33619. Burial will follow at 2;30 PM at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72,Sarasota, Florida 34241. Military rites will be rendered.
