Edward L. Phelps Jr., 81, of Brandon, Florida died at Consulate Health Care, Brandon, Florida on natural causes on April 3, 2016. Ed and his wife were the longtime owners of the Town House Restaurant in Brandon, Florida. Over 18 years of customers came to know ED as a warm, friendly guy with a dry sense of humor. Customers became friends and the parties held at the restaurant were fun-filled events especially when ED entertained the crowd with his creative antics and his wife would “Sing for her Supper”. Ed was a native of Chicago where he was crazy about those Bears and remained a lifelong fan. Ed is survived by his wife, Annamarie and his son, Edward Phelps III (Buddy); niece, Patty Talsness; nephew, Riley Binz and niece, Mary Jean Rainsberger.

We enjoyed many hours of dining with Ed and Annamarie at the Townhouse, of bleacher seating there for Ed’s beloved “Cubbies”, traveling to New Orleans for the Bucs game, and listening to Ed’s stories. Ed was a wonderful friend who would do anything for another. We extend our sympathies to Annamarie and to the family.
Fondly, Jerry and Delores Perry
It is with great sadness that I learn of Eds passing. My condolences to Annamarie and family. From 1970 to the late 1980 the Townhouse was where good friend met, the food was great, the entertainment excellent and the service out of sight. When Ed and Annamarie sold it a part of Brandon lost a whole family of friends and a great meeting Place. With Love for all the good times they afforded us.
