Edward “Scott” Inman Sr., 52, passed away April 22, 2016.
Scott was born on October 3, 1963 in Middletown, Connecticut, a son of Eileen Griffin Hickman and the late Edward H. Inman.
Staff Sergeant Scott Inman served forward in Afghanistan and Iraq in the War on Terrorism. He was decorated with the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, with cluster, Afghanistan Joint Meritorious Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, with cluster, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two Battle Stars, Global war on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon with two clusters, Army Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M device and cluster and a NATO Medal.
After the war, Scott was a limousine and truck driver. He enjoyed Renaissance Fairs, music, and cooking. His family remembers him as having a wonderful sense of humor, being strong-willed, was a great provider, and loved his cats.
Survivors include his mother: Eileen Griffin Hickman and his step-father: Ernest, of Wesley Chapel, his wife of 6 years: Sonia King Inman of Lutz, Florida, 4 sons: Edward Scott Inman Jr., James Royce, Ryu Kydd, and Neo Kydd; 3 daughters: Candice Inman, Erica Nutbrown, and Enya Kydd; 4 brothers: Ernest Hickman Jr. and his wife, Karen of Connecticut, Glenn Inman of California, Jonathan Hickman and his wife, Melissa, of Wesley Chapel, Florida and Jamie Hickman of Port Charlotte, Florida.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Idlewild Baptist Church, 18333 Exciting Wildwild Blvd. Lutz, Florida 33548.
A funeral service will be held immediately following at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery where military rites will be rendered.
It is an honor to be celebrating the life of Scott. Thank you, Scott, for your service to our country. Our prayers are with the family.

Scott was one of the first people to become part of our Friends of Faire “Privateer ship”. He was our Master Gunner, Topside.
As part of our crew, he was considered family, he will be missed.
