Roelof “Rudy” Faber of Clearwater, Florida died June 20, 2016. He came to the United States in 1956 from the Netherland and resided in New Jersey until 1976 when he came to Clearwater, Florida. He had his own business in Mobile Home Service in Clearwater until he retired in January 1999. He was a member of ELKS Lodge in Dunedin-Clearwater, and a member of the Clearwater Shuffleboard Club.
He is survived by his longtime companion Dolores Spletzer of nine years. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 2007 and his son Rudy. Additionally he is survived by 3 grandsons who reside in Brooksville, Florida and a brother and sister who reside in Amsterdam, Netherland.
A memorial service to honor life of Rudy Faber is scheduled for Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Clearwater Dunedin Elks Lodge in Dunedin. A private ceremony will take place in the Gulf of Mexico aboard Living Waters where his remains will be prayerfully scattered at sea. Memorial contributions can be made to the Dunedin Clearwater Elks Lodge #1525 in Rudy’s memory.
