As Past President of Suncoast Voices for Children, Al and his Kiwanis group were always so generous to our Foster children. Al had a very wonderful and generous heart and it was a privilege calling him a friend. He will be missed.
Al you will be sorely missed! You were a wonderful father in law, grandpa and the greatest, kindest man I had the pleasure of knowing. I love you, Tammie
We are at a loss to comprehend what it will mean to be without Al as a friend and fellow Kiwanian. He was a mentor and personal advisor for many years. He will be truly missed.
Grandpa Al. You were the best man I ever met in my whole life. I have always looked up to you. I’ll never forget listening to Paul Simon everymorning and singing together as you drove me to school. Your endless patience as you recorded many of my dance moves and my shananagans as a young child. Not will i ever forget how special you made me feel when you took me to your Kiwanis dinners and how you always took the time to help me w all if my studies from math to my science projects. You may have been my step grandfather but in my heart you were nothing short of the best man ever.
I worked for Al for many years and he was a wonderful boss, but more important he was my friend of 42 years. I loved him like a brother. I have never known a more honorable, kind man. I can’t imagine not hearing that voice on the phone or another visit to see me. Peace be with you Al.
So many great memories be they from dentistry, Bible study, and community service together. You were such a great friend when Arnold and my brother and I put our group practice together, as a leader and compassionate fellow professional, and as a man of faith as we shared the Scriptures together. Most of all your life was marked by grace and love and that touched all of us.
Al was an esteemed colleague and a wonderful Christian friend. He will be greatly missed.
So sorry to hear of Al’s passing. So happy to see that he knew Jesus. I miss his leadership and humor.
Dr. Al Fears was our family dentist from the time we moved to St. Pete until he retired. He set the bar so high that It took us a long time to find another dentist we trusted with our family’s care. He was a wonderful dentist and a very kind and compassionate man. He touched the lives of so many people and we are sorry to hear of his passing. Our thoughts are prayers are with you all.
