Kim Corbit White

Kim C. White, 71, of Hernando, Florida passed away on August 3, 2016.

Kim was born on May 18, 1945 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, a son of the late Laures B. White and Evelyn R. White.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. Kim was diagnosed with leukemia, about 9 years ago,  from his exposure to Agent Orange from his time in Vietnam. He would have been on chemo for the rest of his life. He fought bravely for the last 8 years of his life. He   never complained and was always positive. He worked for Florida Power Company for over 25 years. He also owned and operated Performance Design Engineering and Newbreed Customs, Custom Cycles and Hot Rods. His family says that he could build anything. He was a Master Welder and held the highest certificate one could achieve, which was nuclear. He had the security clearance to weld on nuclear submarines which contain our nation’s nuclear missiles. Kim loved hot rods and motorcycles. His life’s work was rooted in performance. He worked for several professional race teams as head chassis suspension engineer. He was involved with hydroplane boats, aeroplanes, Indy cars, drag cars, and bikes. Up until a month ago, at 71 years of age, he was still tinkering on motorcycles and making one of his Harley motorcycles more powerful. Kim lived his life on his terms, the way he wanted. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Kim is survived by one son: Steven White and his wife, Kelly, of St. Petersburg, two daughters: Sarah Cesa and her husband, Ryan of Seminole, Florida and Michelle Roberts and her husband, Steven, of Bradenton, Florida, one sister, Dee DuBois and her husband, Ray, of Las Vegas, Nevada, as well as 5 grandchildren, and his fuzzy kid, Annie.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Gulf Coast Church, 13301 Walsingham Road, Largo, Florida 33774. Pastor Randy Morris will be officiating. Burial will be held on Tuesday, 11:30 AM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
