Joseph F. Guida was born on October 7, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY to Frank Guida and Mildred Panarello. Joseph passed away at Palm Gardens of Clearwater on August 12, 2016 at the age of 94. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Frances Guida (Esposito). Additionally he is survived by his son Russell Guida of Clearwater, Florida; grandchildren Renee (Robert) Dinan, Nicole (Cody) Hansen and a great-granddaughter Avery Mae Hansen.
Sgt. Joseph Guida entered the Army on March 13, 1943 at the age of 21. He served his country as a stenographer and worked in the office of the Attorney General. At the time of his discharge Joseph was entitled to wear the American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Award, and the World War II Victory Medal on his uniform. A memorial service to honor the life of Joseph F. Guida is scheduled for Monday, September 12, 2016 at 12:45 pm at Bay Pines National Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army.
