Sophie Rokita, 98, of Largo, FL, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016, at the Largo Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Lansford, PA, and resided in Lansford, PA, Trenton and Whiting, NJ, and the Barrington Assisted Living Facility in Largo.
Sophie was preceded in death by her husband, George, who passed away in September 2011. She is lovingly remembered by her stepson David and his wife, Rosiland of Parrish, FL; brother, Frank Pazgan; sister, Nellie Benek, 3 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for 10:30AM on September 8, 2016, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. The church is located at 1507 Trotter Road, Largo, FL. Interment and graveside services will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 5233 118th Ave North, Clearwater, FL 33760.

Sophie was a dear Aunt and Godmother to me, and I envision her now being with her sister, my mother, Val. She had a long and fulfilling life and I’m so glad both she and George were a part of my and my family’s life. God bless until we meet again.
Aunt Sophie was such a nice, caring woman and older sister to my Mom, Angela. So glad I had her as my aunt growing up. I’m sure she is with the good Lord along with her Mom and Dad and other brother and sister. God bless.
Aunt Sophie was a wonderful lady. I am glad I got to visit with her in 2013. She was my mom’s older sister. Now she will join her family and friends in heaven.
Aunt Sophie was a dear Aunt to us! Although we did not see her often she was always very Happy to hear from us on the Holidays. She will be missed by many, but now is at rest with her husband George and the rest of her Family. Rest in Peace Aunt Sophie!!!!
