Willie began to know me as a patient about the year 1984. He befriended me while we lived in North Bay Hills. We bartered his services for mine in the early years. He was known as a man who worked eight days a week. His concern to landscape my property was reliable until he really could not this year.We had many frequent chances to talk about the work and then some other things. Since he had been in Safety Harbor for many years before me he gave me insight into many people in the community. His somewhat separate community of landscape customers was quite wide.
Because Willie held a long term perspective he was able to hold and keep his customers. He kept them even if they had a financial bad patch. Remarkably he had a very fine touch as to when he had to stop providing services. He extended this credit with a deft appreciation of human nature. His sense of fairness was exemplary. His kindness to all, and his generosity to his laboring men was consistent.
I will always miss him greatly.
I met Mr.Willie years ago through his wife and and a very pleasant man he was. It was always a pleasure to talk to him. He will be missed I will always treasure his invitation on Sunday morning to their home for hot Fish & Grits.A very mild mannered guy I called him BOY.To the family my family I send our condolences to all of you during this time of bereavement. Look to the hill’s from whence cometh your help, your help comes from the Lord. Prayerfully submitted
