August 5, 1955 – December 11, 2016
Rockey Joseph Secore, 61, of Crystal River, FL passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 11, 2016.
He leaves behind his wife, Susan, of 42 years, his four children, Tiphanie Secore of Crystal River, Rockey Secore of Inverness, Bobbi Jo Cooksey of Hernando, and Bradley Secore of Clearwater. Rockey also leaves to cherish his memory six grandchildren: Aurora, Nicole, Zackery, Taylor, and Autumn; three sisters, Charmane Dann, Darlene Bodway, and Lisa Kenward; and a family he thought of as his own, Scott, Anna, Nina, Daniel, and Damian Schulenburg.
Words of reflection by his daughter, Tiphanie Secore ….
“He was an amazing person. He inspired so many people. If something interested him, he would learn it or do it – some might call him a jack of all trades. He was an incredible musician. He knew how to play at least ten different instruments. Dad played guitar the longest, but he could hold his own on the others. He could fix just about anything – even a broken heart from time to time”
Our hearts go out to RJ’s family. He was a wonderful man. Smart, funny, talented. His smile lit up a room and his music was amazing. A great husband, father, and friend. He will be truly missed by so many. I feel so lucky to have crossed paths with him. Keep playing in that big band in the sky. love you and miss you.
It has been our privilege to know “RJ” and be able to call him “Friend “
RJ was one of a kind. A great person, always kind and all around very sweet hearted. Would do anything for anyone and always had a smile and a joke to tell. He was very easy to talk to and always listened with his whole heart. He will be greatly missed and always dearly loved.
It breaks my heart to hear that Rocky passed away! I know we haven’t seen each other in many years, but I always enjoyed seeing where Rocky was headed with his music and his family! He will be so missed by so many including Bob & I! We had so much fun when the guys played in the band together! I will keep all of his friends and family in my prayers! God Bless all of you!
