Betty Blum of St.Petersburg died peacefully at Suncoast Hospice of Mid-Pinellas on December 7, 2016. She was born and raised in Hinllsville, Virginia as a Presbyterian. She was the widow of Capt. Leonard B. Blum, a war hero in the Asiatic and Pacific Theatre during WWII. He died March 14, 1958.
Betty was well known locally as a fashion and photography model. Later she worked for P.J. Sattler Co. in office and property management. Upon retiring she volunteered at All Children’s Hospital and was active in her neighborhood association.
She is survived by her loving children: son, Scott of Clearwater, and daughter, Lisa (Bob) & grandson, Parker of Sherwood, Oregon. As well as a sister, Frankie and a few nieces and nephews.
A private burial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
