evin Michael Rowan, 68, of Largo, died on December 26, 2016.
Life
Kevin was born in Ohio, the oldest of seven children. Kevin served his country in the armed forces, enlisting in the Army at age 17 and serving active duty in both Vietnam and Thailand. After leaving the military he worked as a machinist at Kent Machine before he and his wife Mary opened their own business, which they successfully ran for several years until they retired to Florida. Even in retirement Kevin liked to keep himself busy working part-time while enjoying the sunshine and fishing.
Family
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary; children Matthew, Marcieann (Michael), and Donald; grandchildren Steven, Summer, Nicholas, Matthew Jr., Michael, Jace, Mythia, Gary, Ava, Kara, and Christopher; great-grandchildren Zayn and Drayden; brother Ronald and sister Trudy; Sister-in-law Etta; Brother- in-law Robert (Julie); as well as many cousins, nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces and close friends.
He is predeceased by parents Albert and Shirley Rowan; grandmother Catherine, brothers Patrick and David; and sisters Susan and Karen.
Military Honors
A memorial service with military honors provided by the United States Army will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 12:45 pm.

Uncle Kevin you will be truly missed! I may not have gotten to spend time with you since you guys moved to Floridia but we were always at someone’s house as kids all of us cousins playing while the grown ups played cards, like all the time. Those are some of my best memories as a kid.
