To the Family of Joseph M. Cashman, Lt. Shea VFW Auxiliary to VFW Post 201 of Waterbury, Ct. want you to know that your loved one is in our thoughts and prayers. We thank him for his service. Betty Fries, President
Uncle Joe was my favorite relative. All of us nieces and nephews would be so excited whenever he came back to the States for a visit.
I was fortunate enough to reconnect with him after many years and we spoke occasionally on the phone. I had made arrangements to visit him after I had moved to Florida but unfortunately that never happened. I am surprised though that his brother, my father, Richard F Cashman Jr. wasn’t mentioned in his obituary along with myself and my two brothers, Richard F III and Kevin Cashman as his niece and nephews.
Maybe I shouldn’t be surprised after all …
