Michael K. Jazwiec

ichael Kenneth Jazwiec was born on February 14, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Helen (Mosior) Jazwiec. He passed away on December 28, 2016 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Michael lived most of his life in Chicago, Illinois. He was a Fire-Medic for the Chicago Fire Department for over 25 years. He moved to Florida after calling Minocqua, Wisconsin his home during his retired years.

Family

Michael is survived by his daughters Debra (Tom) Kinnal of Haverhill, Massachusetts; Wendy Audette of Plant City, Florida; brother John Jazwiec; grandchildren Rebecca (Michael) Weaver of Plant City, FL; Duane Audette III of Plant City, FL; Joseph (Shelby) Audette of Plant City, FL; Tommy Kinnal of Haverhill, Massachusetts; great-grandchildren Logan, Caleb, Christopher, Duane Paul, Gabriella, Elijah, Aubrey and many cousins. 

Military

Michael joined the United States Navy on February 16, 1956 and served as a Aviation Machinist’s Mate and made the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class before he received his honorable discharge in 1959. His last duty assignment was at Airborne Squadron II located on the Midway Islands in the Pacific Ocean. At the time of his honorable discharge Petty Officer Jazwiec was entitled to wear the Good Conduct Medal on his uniform.

Memorial Service 

A military funeral with military honors provided by the United States Navy will be scheduled at a later date at Florida National Cemetery
