Robert F. Holland, 88, of Clearwater, FL formally from Troy, OH and Indianapolis, IN passed away peacefully January 18, 2017 with his loving family at his side.
Bob was born June 29, 1928 in Braddock, PA to Robert Leroy and Ellen Jane (Ferguson) Holland. He graduated from Piqua HS (Ohio) and attended Bowling Green University (Ohio). He served honorably in the US Army Air Corp from 1946-1949, stationed in Germany and Italy. After military service, Bob returned to Ohio and worked for Chrysler Air Temp and Lennox Furnace Company which took him to Indianapolis where he and good friend, Paul Barclay formed Barclay-Holland Heating and Air Conditioning. In 1980 he moved the family to Palm Harbor, FL and founded Cypress Air Conditioning where he worked until he retired. Bob was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed his family, watching sports and was an avid golfer, playing at every opportunity.
Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara Sue; his sisters Mae Swabb and Janet Lauber; his sons Douglas (wife Lisa) and Donald; daughter Ann (son in law Jeff Gionta) and grandchildren Ashley, Bobby, Gabby, Samantha and DJ.
Funeral services will be held January 31, 2017 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513 with military rites rendered. Family and friends are invited to share a memory and sign his guestbook below.
A Celebration of Like gathering will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the East Lake Woodlands Country Club, 1055 E. Lake Woodlands Pkwy, Oldsmar, FL 34677.
