Benton P. Seeley was born on November 21, 1935 in Jackson, Tennessee to Benton and Veda (Ward) Seeley. He passed away at the Henry Ford Health Center in Wyandotte, Michigan on February 18, 2017 at the age of 81.
He is survived by his wife Carole Damron Seeley of 16 years; sons Marty and Jason Kokalis; daughters Cheryl (Dusty) Rhodes, Lisa (Skip) Vanhooser, Rebecca Kokalis, Dawn (Ernie) Pribik; brother David (Gail) Seeley; sisters Marie Baker, Ellen Ford; grandchildren Bobby Demyam, Katie Zan-Neff, Jason Zan-Neff, Christopher Pribik, Ryan Pribik; and great-granddaughter Ava Demyam.
Master Sergeant Benton Seeley retired from the United States Marine Corps in 1974 after 22 years of service. During his career he received seven Good Conduct Awards.
A graveside service with military honors provided by the United States Marine Corps is scheduled for Friday, March 3, 2017 at 11:00 at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
