Ismael Bernier, 76, of Sun City Center, FL, passed away on April 20, 2017, at Tampa General Hospital. He was born in Patillas, Puerto Rico and served in the US Army during from 1963 to 1965.
He loved spending time with his family, they were very important to him. He also enjoyed watching the News, gardening, and watching sports. Ismael was a fan of the New York Yankees.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Domingo and Maria Dolores Bernier; daughter, Vivian Bernier; and step-son, Frankie Diaz. He is survived by his wife, Aurelia Bernier; sons, Ismael Bernier, Jr. and David Bernier; daughter, Jeannie Bernier; step-daughters, Evelyn Santiago, Eileen Garcia, Elaine Ramirez and Dolores Gonzalez; sister, Dora H. Bernier Arboleda; twenty grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service in his honor will be held at 9:00Am on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at The River of Life Christian Center, 6605 Krycul Avenue, Riverview, FL at 9:00AM. He will be interred at Sarasota National Cemetery with Military Honors.
To Jeannie, David and Rico and family sorry to hear about your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you all! The Lord will comfort you during this difficult time. Remember all the good times you have shared with him. He will always be remembered by his vivacious smile and laugh.
