Dale Zink, 60, of Davenport, Florida funeral service is 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Loughman Civic Center, 6216 CR 547 (Lee Jackson Highway), Loughman, Florida with Pastor Mitchell Johns, to officiate. The family will receive friends at Loughman Civic Center from 11:00 am until service time. Burial with full military honors by the United States Air Force Military Honors and Ceremonial Team from MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida will be 3:30 pm, Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Evergreen Cemetery, 1917 County Road 547, Davenport, Florida.
He was born in Winter Haven, Florida on November 6, 1956 and passed away on May 7, 2017 in Davenport, Florida. Dale graduated from Haines City high school in 1975 and immediately joined the United States Air Force. After returning from active duty, he became a lifelong resident of Loughman/Davenport Florida area, Dale was a security officer for CIC, a Christian and a United States Air Force Veteran.
He served for over 10 years and was stationed many stateside location and overseas in Korea as a Munitions Specialist. During his career, he was awarded the Air Force Longevity Ribbon with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster; Air Force Overseas Tour Ribbon; Air Force Training Ribbon; Air Force Outstanding Unit Award; Air Force Good Conduct Medal w 1 Oak Leaf Cluster; Small Expert Marksmanship Ribbon; United States Air Force Supervisors Course; NCO Orientation Course and the OJT Trainers Familiarization Course.
He is survived by his loving family: his parents, Albert and Sara Jane (Stewart) Zink Jr. of Loughman, Florida; his companion and lifelong friend, Joyce Harlow of Davenport, Florida; his daughters; Shanna McGee and her husband Buddy of Mount Dora, Florida; Rachel Raulerson and her husband, Douglas of Jessup, Georgia and Brandy Zink of Loughman, Florida; five brothers: Curt Zink of Florida; Darin Zink and his wife, Wendy of Davenport, Florida; Thomas Zink of Loughman, Florida; Zane Zink of Loughman, Florida and Johnny Temples and his wife, Dolly of Davenport, Florida and seven grandchildren: Mequaela, Callie, Kara, Rusty, Maggie, Wesley and Harmony. Dale is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of a Zink family member. Prayers for comfort for his family. I pray his mother and father may find peace during this time as it is unimaginable to lose a child no matter the age.
