I am at a loss for words to describe Fred, none seem sufficient. He was a great man, teacher, friend, mentor, role model and a phenomenal human being. I was privileged to know him in health and to see him challenge illness and prepare for death. Anyone who knew him benefited from being in his presence (whether they knew it or not). We were blessed to share the planet with him. Blessings to him as he travels on his journey.
I shall miss Uncle Fred’s warm and welcoming smile, and his funny sense of humor:-) He was so easy going, and ready to help. He helped so many people who were not able to help themselves. He certainly made the world a better place just by being himself!
Aunt Yvonne and family, I love you all very much, and my heartfelt love and condolences are with all of you, as we all lovingly remember Fred!😘 Love, MicheleMarie

Fred was always bigger than life with his hearty laugh and his passion for guiding others to greater joy. Even in Oregon his loss is felt. My love to Yvonne and family.
So handsome, inside and out. Fred you left a beautiful legacy and touched whoever you met either with your words, your laughter or your smooth ‘moves’.Lol! I am blessed to have known you and spent time on planet earth with you. Namaste! XO
Who could ever forget Fred? I met this wonderful man in 1994, and he and his beautiful wife were very supportive of me both as a person and as a musician. Fred & Yvonne and his parents were in the audience many times when I played concerts in FL back in the mid ’90s, and Fred was always available to me when I called him in need of his support, wisdom and assurance. My life has been deeply enriched by both Fred and Yvonne. I am so grateful to have known Fred and for the important part he played in my “new” life since 1994. Thank you Fred, may God bless your beautiful soul (byooootiful!). . . I love you!
My sympathy to Yvonne and to your family. Fred was a healer and a wise man. He helped me in so many ways, and I will always be grateful!
To Yvonne and family, We will all miss Fred. I can remember many of the stories that Ed and his running buddy Fred, since high school, would tell each other when they got together. They had a lot of fun times and times when they almost got themselves into a lot of trouble. Here is an coincidence. They both passed within a few months of turning 80. They were almost like brothers.
Take care
Love Evanette
Dear Friend …I will miss your beautiful voice, your kind spirit, and gentle wisdom. Much Love, Cindy LePete
I am sadden to learn of Fred’s passing, but it also heartwarming to know that he passed peacefully in a place that he loved with his love Yvonne at his side. Throughout Fred’s life he was known as a lover of water and swimming for him was like a second nature. He truly enjoyed good food and was particularly smitten with ice cream, particularly Hogen Diaz. He always “unsolicited” shared information to me and other family members about good books and good music. He was also a great dancer and often explored different settings to endulge. Once while visiting me and other family members in Lansing, MI, he went to a disco dance club and when the place closed at 2 AM, he had fallen asleep and the owner had to awake him so he would not be locked in. Through the years, he often shared this incident with his bold and infectious laughter. Fred was also so supportive and giving during the illness of my husband John who happened to be placed in Florida near his and Yvonne’s home. And, for this I am eternally grateful. May he Rest In Peace.

Fred has held such a special place in my heart from the moment I met him. I will cherish our moments of joking, silliness and just being pranksters. He was many things to me: father, friend, teacher, confidant, mentor and a true example of love, peace and acceptance. It is true for myself, as I’ve also seen in so many others, knowing Fred is a life-changing experience. Fred has said that the love and support from Yvonne and his beautiful family have given him the strength and courage to always keep on doing the next right thing. You keep on dancing, Fred!! I love you, Debbie
I was so fortunate to be in a small monthly group with Fred and share our drives to, along with spending time together at FSCH. It was easy to see why he was so loved by so many people who were lucky enough to know him. His wisdom, sense of humor, honesty and caring along with that infectious laugh, will be greatly missed. It was also such a pleasure to hear him “brag” about his wife with such love and appreciation. My sympathy to Yvonne and family.
Hugs to you, Fred–
