Sandy was born on March 3, 1927 in Bakersfield, California to Lloyd and Helen (Whitaker) Quackenbush and passed away on May 31, 2017 at the Sumter Landing in The Villages. Sandy loved sports growing up in Memphis, Tennessee, especially tennis and basketball. She married a Catholic Yankee-Albert Marcoux who was 10 years older in Woonsocket, Rhode Island in 1937 and they had one “Favorite Daughter” Linda Susan.  Sandy was a wonderful homemaker in Florence, Alabama, a faithful Christian who was very active in the First Presbyterian Church in Florence and enjoyed many fiends there. Sandy then moved to St Petersburg, Florida in 1971 and finally had a chance to get her real estate license, something she always wanted to do. She had a passion of finding the right property for her client, working for Guardian Reality and was the top salesperson of the month numerous times during her years there.  Her clients   often became personal friends and in 1979, she moved to Beau Monde Condominium on St Petersburg Beach, Florida with her husband, Al.  Sandy opened her own office with her partner, Audrey Jessel and the new firm was called Jessel and Marcoux Reality. Sandy continued to operate her real estate office, Marcoux Real Estate until 2014 when closed her office at age 87 and moved to The Villages. She enjoyed shopping, especially flea markets and garage sales. Sandy’s glass was always “half full”. She traveled extensively to many Florida destinations as well as throughout the world and few negative words ever crossed her lips. Sandy was an only child and has only one child.

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Linda Kozak and her husband, Dan of The Villages, Florida; grandsons, Albert and Rob Evers and three great-grandchildren, Ashleigh, Austin and Alexis Evers. Other family members are Kandy, Mark, David, Candace  and Roy Pesta, Danielle, Ian and Gabrielle West, Eric and Kay Tuck, and Morgan.
